Ruth Stout on "Winter"
"There is a privacy about it which no other season gives you.... In spring, summer and fall people sort of have an open season on each other; only in the winter, in the country, can you have longer, quiet stretches when you can savor belonging to yourself." -- Ruth Stout
Designer and installer of edible landscapes, orchards and California Native Gardens, sometimes all three in the one garden. Originally from Ireland I now make my home in Los Angeles and have a 9 year old son, two Boxers, six hens, one cat, three goldfish, and one rabbit.
